Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed: 21 June 2026

This statement explains how accessible the Nanosoft website is, what we have done to make it work for everyone, and how to tell us if you run into a problem.

1. About this website

This accessibility statement applies to www.nanosoftltd.com, operated by Nanosoft Corporation Ltd. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. That means you should be able to:

  • Zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
  • Navigate most of the website using only a keyboard
  • Navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • Listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack)
  • Use the website on a mobile, tablet, or desktop at any screen size

We have also written the content in plain English wherever possible. We aim to keep reading complexity at approximately GCSE level for body text.

2. How accessible this website is

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible. The known issues are:

  • Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible to screen reader software. We are working to replace these with accessible HTML equivalents.
  • Some data visualisation charts do not yet include full text alternatives. We are adding descriptive captions and data tables as we update each chart.
  • Some third-party embedded content (for example, mapping or form widgets) may not meet the same accessibility standards as the rest of the site.
  • Video content does not currently carry closed captions. We are reviewing our video library and will add captions as a priority.

3. What we have done to improve accessibility

We have taken the following steps to make this website accessible:

  • Semantic HTML: We use correct heading hierarchy, landmark regions (main, header, nav, footer), and semantic list elements throughout.
  • Colour contrast: All text and interactive elements meet or exceed the WCAG 2.2 Level AA minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1.
  • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements are reachable and operable via keyboard. Focus indicators are visible and meet the enhanced Level AA focus-visible requirements.
  • Skip link: A "skip to main content" link is provided as the first focusable element on every page to allow keyboard and screen reader users to bypass the navigation.
  • Images: All meaningful images carry descriptivealt text. Decorative images use an emptyalt="" attribute so screen readers can ignore them.
  • Forms: All form inputs have programmatically associated labels. Error messages are clear and specific, and they are announced to screen readers via ARIA live regions.
  • Motion: Animations respect theprefers-reduced-motion media query. Visitors who have enabled reduced motion in their operating system will see static alternatives.
  • Responsive layout: The site is fully responsive and tested at 320 px, 768 px, and 1280 px viewports without horizontal scroll at default text size.
  • Language declaration: The page language is set tolang="en-GB" on every page.

4. Technical specification

Nanosoft is committed to making this website accessible in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.

  • HTML5
  • CSS3 (including CSS Custom Properties and Tailwind CSS)

5. Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA, due to the known non-compliances listed in section 2 above. We are actively working to address each issue and will update this statement as each is resolved.

We last reviewed this website against the WCAG 2.2 criteria on 21 June 2026. A formal third-party audit is planned for the next annual review cycle.
